Sip and bite baltimore closed11/16/2023 She shoots and misses AGAIN! No coffee for us. She busses a table, chats with another, and then goes for the coffee pot. She puts back the pot and goes to chat with another table. Then refills a whole round of coffee at another table. OK, but you have the coffee pot in your hand. Then takes another order, then refills the coffee at two different tables, THEN drops off our order. She takes someone else's order, then chats with another table. As it turns out, the diner is small enough and there's no back room, so we can see what our waitress is doing the whole time. they're busy.) (They're always busy.) Actually, we know what we're going to order, but most of all can you bring us a cup of coffee first, like right away? Oh sure hon, no problem, and she takes our order. Takes forever for someone to come and start us out. Or actually, the patrons who had to rely on that service. But the Biggest Loser on our trip today was the service. This is a Greek diner and guess what they're good at. Not a fan of the spinach Sofia's Spanakopita, but the Artemis. Then the lamb, the sausage, the Greek salad. Here's what's not to skip: Breakfast, breakfast and breakfast. This is a nice little Greek diner that ended up with a "famous" crabcake because Guy Fieri gave 'em publicity on national TV. But for those of us who know better, this "crab patty" made without so much as a hint of backfin crabmeat, and all smushed down on the grill like it was a hamburger, features a ton of filler (to help it survive the hamburger making process) and bland washed-out flavors that would embarrass even the most rudimentary Baltimore crabcake truck. dale german on The Peabody Book Shop: One for the books… Or Not.If you've never had a great Maryland crabcake before (Guy Fieri), sure the Sip & Bite version might seem OK.Walter Hynson on The Only Place To Go (The Bluesette, 1967).Franklinsmith on Baltimore Colts – “1958 World Champions” 45.Heather Boffardi on Divine: “This Place Designated A Museum”.Dave sanders on DC Star – 1980s Rock Videos and Commercials. ![]() Scott Yisroel Russell Bartlett jr on Mega Millionaire ‘Bunky’ Bartlett says life of a lottery winner isn’t easy.Leslie Margerum McLemore on What’s Up with the Golden Eggs?.Watch Sip & Bite featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Guy really dug the couple's Old Bay-seasoned crabcakes with their “big, fat chunks” of lump crab. Original owner Antonios Vasilades's grandson Tony Vasilades now runs the 24-hour diner (lauded fo its “Best Breakfast … Best Late-Night Dining … Best Crab Cakes … Best Cheap Eats” – AOL City Guide, 2005) with his wife Sofia. The Sip & Bite is a family business that has been serving homemade diner and Greek delicacy food in town since 1948. ![]() Grating goofball gourmet Guy Fieri (you know, the guy with the gruff throat-cancer voice trying way too hard to be cool with his SoCal Porn Star Look – dyed-blond hair, tats, earrings, Oakley wrap-around shades – and his shirt worn out to cover his fat belly, as is the current Hipster Vogue) visited the legendary Sip & Bite restaurant in Fells Point in April of 2012 for an episode of his Food Network television show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Baltimore's legendary “Sip & bite” restaurant was profiled on the Food network.
